Spring Break is just around the corner and for me, it means I can finally break away from my wife and go on a weekend trip with my friends. For my wife, it means I will be gone all weekend.
One Friday night, I head out with my friends to go to a party and get drunk. They drive me home, and I am so drunk that I can barely make it up the stairs. They help me into bed and leave.
The next morning, my wife wakes up and starts to get ready for work. I don't wake up until much later. When I do, I find my wife crying on the floor.
"What's wrong?" I ask her.
"Nothing," she replies.
"You're crying," I say.
"I know," she says. "I just can't take this anymore."
"What do you mean?" I ask her.
"I can't do this anymore," she says. "I'm so tired of being alone."
"I'm sorry," I say. "I know you don't want to be alone."
"It's not you," she says. "It's me."
