Francisca & Adelina is a story of two young girls living in a world of medieval romance. It is a tale of forbidden love and a forbidden city, of family secrets and of forgiveness.
The story begins with Francisca, the eldest of three sisters, reading a letter from her mother to her father. In it, her mother says that she is pregnant with a fourth child. The father has been married before and the mother has been told to leave him for good. In this moment, Francisca learns that her parents have kept secrets from her and her sisters, and she realizes that her life has been a lie.
In order to protect her mother and sisters, she takes on the task of finding the man who is the father of the fourth child, which is a prince. The only way to protect the family is to marry the prince. She knows she has to keep it a secret from everyone, including her best friend and partner in crime, Adelina.
Adelina is the second daughter in her family. She lives with her mother and grandmother in a tiny village where everyone knows everyone else's business. She is quick witted and knows how to get out of trouble with her quick tongue and mischievous smile.
Francisca & Adelina are two sisters who have grown up knowing they are royalty but have never known their father or their past. When they are forced to leave their village and go on a journey to find their father and learn the truth about their past, they end up in an adventure of their own.
