Soraya and Ted are newlyweds living in a new apartment. They can't seem to find a lamp that will suit their living room and decided to design their own lamp using the resources they have. They found an old metal stool, which they painted with acrylic paint, and a used oil drum. They got a plastic milk crate from the local grocery store, and placed it on the stool. The milk crate became the base of the lamp. They then cut an old coat hanger into the shape of a pole, and placed it in the oil drum to hold the milk crate up. Finally, they found a piece of PVC pipe from their basement, and cut it into the shape of a "U" shape. They glued this to the top of the milk crate to make it a shade. They were so proud of their lamp, that they put it on their mantelpiece.
