Alex Chance Family Therapist - Scene 4

Alex Chance is a family therapist who works with many different families, but she especially loves working with families with more than one child. In this video, she is working with a family of three children, ages 8, 10, and 12. She starts by asking the kids to draw a picture of their family. They draw pictures of a mom, dad, and their three kids. The mom and dad are smiling and holding hands. Alex asks the kids to tell her what they drew and then she asks them to explain their drawings. One of the kids explains that the mom and dad are holding hands because they love each other. Alex then asks the kids to tell her what they think of their family. She asks the 10-year-old what he thinks of his family and he replies that he loves his family. Alex asks the 12-year-old what she thinks of her family and she replies that she loves her family too. Alex then asks the 8-year-old what he thinks of his family and he replies that he doesn't like his family. Alex asks him why he doesn't like his family and he replies that he doesn't like his dad because he always gets mad at him. Alex says that sometimes dads get mad at their kids, but that it's important for kids to remember that dads love them too. Alex then asks the kids to draw a picture of their family again, but this time they draw pictures of a mom, dad, and their three kids. The mom and dad are smiling and holding hands. Alex asks the kids to tell her what they drew and then she asks them to explain their drawings. One of the kids explains that the mom and dad are holding hands because they love each other.
